Yoga is a journey beyond the limitations of the body and mind into your infinite potential.
— Jason Milne
OUR PHILOSOPHY OF YOGA PRACTICE
We believe that it is necessary to start asana practices with dynamic sequencing that promotes the release of chaotic energy from the being, enabling the practitioner to stabilize, center and calm the energy, emotions and mind. As the practice progresses, the asanas shift from dynamic asanas to those that are held for longer periods of time as the individual practitioner goes deeper and deeper into the awareness of the subtle bodies with the focus continually being on the internal experience. Throughout the asana practice there is an emphasis on deep breathing, awakening of the chakras and ultimately the sublimation of energy.
Following the asana practice we move into pranayama, concentration and meditation techniques. An individual class will contain at least 10-30 minutes of pranayama and 10-30 minutes of meditation. So, it could be said that the asana practice is also a preparation for the seated practices. Our priority is to move the spine in all directions, activate the chakras, purify and energize the nadi system, sublimate and transform the energy to awaken the higher levels of consciousness in the asana practice so that the practitioner can go deeper into pranayama, concentration and meditation techniques. Of course the physical body will be strengthened and flexibility and balance will increase. However, our primary focus is on purification, balance and healing that expand our consciousness to experience the ultimate union with the Divine.
Jason travels around the world teaching Tantra Yoga, as well as yoga teacher training courses, retreats, workshops, yoga therapy sessions and a variety of yoga and meditation styles. He is grateful for the blessing of studying and teaching the Tantra Yoga system that transformed his life, as well as the lives of countless students around the world.
